Somerley House is just the most sublime country house you can imagine. I’ve always wanted to work here, so when Becky and Matt asked me to be their photographer for their Somerley House Wedding, I just had to say yes! Somerley House is so full of character, with beautiful artwork, enormous mirrors, and the most incredible picture gallery, which unsurprisingly, featured in the latest series of ‘The Crown’.
Becky and Matt were both huge Harry Potter fans, and Somerley House proved to be the perfect setting for their Harry Potter themed wedding, and being November, it was quite a dark day, which allowed the candlelit atmosphere to really shine through. There were nods to the wizard around every corner, and of course plenty of wand waving during the speeches!
Although the weather was challenging, the atmosphere was perfect, and for me as a wedding photographer, rather than seeing rainy winter weather as a hindrance, I see it as an opportunity. There are so many beautiful locations for photos at Somerley House there was no way I could use them all, and I’m really looking forward to exploring them again very soon!

SUPPLIER LOVE
It was fantastic to work alongside such a superb selection of other wedding suppliers at Somerley House, please look them up! Huge thanks to the lovely team at Somerley House Weddings for looking after us very well, and of course to Rich Howman for being my rather talented and immensely hard working wing man on the day!
