Fifi and Matt’s Dorset wedding at was one of those perfect summer weddings, blessed with incredible light, and it was such an enjoyable day being their wedding photographer at the Old Vicarage in Christchurch. Their story was one of true love too, which went back to when they first met as toddlers, living next door to each other, and becoming best friends. Of course over time they drifted apart for many years, until a chance meeting reunited them, and the rest was history. Such a great story!

The day started with preparation at the Hilton Hotel in Bournemouth – I am always wary of hotel rooms as you never know how easy the photography is going to be, however this room was blessed with magical full length windows with net curtains to provide some beautiful diffused light, and plenty of room to capture everything, yet for me to blend in to the background, which is how I like to work as a documentary wedding photographer.

As the sun began to set on the day, an impromptu game of rounders added some real fun to the day, and a serious amount of inter family competition! The sun got lower, and some dreamy light filtered through the trees, the stuff of dreams for a wedding photographer. A perfect day!

As always, I’ll let the photos tell the story!
