Set amongst the rolling Purbeck countryside, a stones throw from the sea, Lulworth Castle is one of the most stunning wedding venues in the country. The ruins of the castle, with open space where the upper floors once were, is a magnificent location, steeped in history. It was an enormous pleasure to be asked to provide Lisa and Mike’s Lulworth Castle wedding photography, and I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time! The castle even has its own church in the grounds, making the trip from he service to the reception a pleasant stroll, and the light inside the church was beautiful.
Lisa and Mike both got ready near home in Throop, before the short but beautiful journey to Lulworth castle.
The castle itself looked stunning inside, decorated by Fundoo weddings, and even England in a world cup quarter final couldn’t distract everyone from having an incredible time, with some superb food as always from Beales Gourmet.
The summer of 2018 has been incredible, moving from wedding to wedding and not even having to worry about the weather forecast, as you just know it is going to be another hot and sunny one! These conditions are never without their own challenges however, intense heat and bright light, but the sunsets have been to die for! Lisa and Mike had an amazing firework display planned, which I was never going to miss, I always stay as late as required on the day, and it was well worth the wait! This time using remote cameras to get the view from two angles – I couldn’t decide which angle I preferred, so I shot both!
As always, I’ll let the photos do the talking, congratulations Lisa and Mike!
