Forked Lighting Oak, Dorset
This long dead and wind dried Oak tree still stands sturdy and strong above the village of Tarrant Monkton in Dorset. It has a striking shape and form, which reminds me of forked lighting, but upside down. Every year the tree remains unchanged, but the crop below always changes, and this year saw a field of Oilseed rape.
I visit this tree regularly, and wanted to capture it in stormy conditions for drama in the sky. I was hoping for some lighting in the distance, but it wasn't to be!
