Wow – what a year! 2021 has been something else, with almost two years of bookings rolled in to one, and it was so important for me to help everyone with posptponements as best I could, even if it meant consecutive days at opposite ends of the country! We made it, and despite working harder than ever, it was a proud but also sad moment to shoot my last wedding of the year on Christmas eve, and I cant wait to get back to it in the spring. This time is an important one for me, to reflect on my work for the year, and to look at ways I can develop and create even better wedding photography in 2022!
Here is my quick round up of my favourite images from the year, sit back and relax and enjoy fullscreen.
2021 saw me photograph at a castle in the Scottish Highlands, the mountains of the Lake District, by the sea in Snowdonia, on beaches in Devon and Cornwall, Central London, and of course some of the finest country houses in Dorset. I love the variety of shooting in so many different locations, each story is so unique, and it is so important to me that couples choose me because they love my style of work, and they want me to cover their wedding in a similar way. I love what I do, hunting out beautiful light and incredible landscapes, and this year has provided so many opportunities, some gorgeous light, and more rainbows than I have ever seen in one year!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible couples I have worked with this year, those who were not going to let the C-word get in the way of their plans for the perfect wedding, come what may. I know it has been incredibly stressful and challenging for everyone, so hats off for the optimisim and determination to make things happen, and this is so true for all of the amazing wedding suppliers too, who have had a year filled wint incredible uncertainty. The wedding industry has proved that it is possible to deliver weddings in a secure and safe way, and long may this continue.
So I’d like to raise a glass to you all, and I can’t wait to get started on working with everyone for 2022!
Incredible photos. Such variety. I particularly like the coastal shots. Awesome work
Thanks Joel!
